A special award was also presented to recognise the work of e-Safety champions and ambassadors in Suffolk schools.

How to be safe online and how to play your part for a safer internet is so important for all young people. Our e-Safety champions in primary schools and e-Safety ambassadors in secondary schools, are spreading the word and developing e-Safety awareness and skills. These children and young people are now taking ownership of e-Safety in their schools, and we are seeing them come up with innovative ideas and ways to support their peers when incidents occur. Many of them are running training for their peers, school staff and parents. We also have teachers who take on the e-Safety leads in their school to support and encourage their students to take on responsibility for e-Safety. They are helping us to build an online safety culture across Suffolk.
