Lorraine Wellham – Stowmarket High

Lorraine was nominated for her voluntary role supporting young people who take on a caring role within the home, in addition to her full time teaching role. Lorraine consistently goes above and beyond supporting teachers and young people. She strives to make a difference, listens to what young peoples’ wants and needs are and ensures that she always finds some way to support them, and has had a significant impact on vulnerable young people in the community.

Anna Davies – Long Melford Primary

Anna has shown commitment, passion and belief in parent power, driving improvements at her local school by bringing people together to deliver great things. After persuading a group of parents to form a PTA group, she has driven them to raise funds for improvements including a fully refurbished swimming pool area, a refurbished nursery and reception play area, which have had a positive impact on pupils at the school.

 

Samantha Barber- Stone Lodge Academy
As a very active member of the Parent Teacher Association, Sam has almost single-handedly raised more than £30,000 for the school. This has enabled them to buy new climbing equipment for the primary playground, the design and installation of a new sensory room and new fitness equipment in the high school playground.
