Julie Mayo – Ormiston Denes Academy
Very simply, Julie goes above and beyond what is required of her in her job, as Project Manager, co-ordinating the academy’s unique and highly innovative transition programme. She ensures that the school is involved in projects such as the Waveney Youth Council, encouraging involvement in the local community. Julie also volunteers with a number of local community projects including a theatre group and TOPCATS, a small local charity in Lowestoft supporting those in the local community with additional needs.
Louise Palmer – Laureate Community Primary
Teaching Assistant Louise is described as an inspiration to all at Laureate School. She is dedicated to finding ways to improve her teaching and support staff, pupils and parents to help them to reach their targets, goals, achievements and much more. She is described as an indispensable member of the school community, who makes a huge difference to so many people, every day.
Jackie Garrod – Britannia Primary & Nursery
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Jackie teaches children across all seven year groups in this large primary school, and across all subject areas. Jackie’s dedication and positivity towards all aspects of her work is an inspiration to children and adults alike. She is energetic and enthusiastic and is a champion of vulnerable children: drawing out their strengths, building their confidence and making their day a brighter one.
